About Me

Hi there! I'm Erin, an experienced Instructional Designer (ID) and eLearning developer.

I began my ID journey as a graduate student at the University of Colorado (CU). I needed courses in Spanish and French to complete my Ph.D., but I also had an infant and needed to be home as much as possible. I found the wonderful world of online education, and it allowed me to complete my courses and thus my Ph.D. In short, online learning changed my life.

Two years later, I won a Digital Pedagogy Grant to partner with the Independent Learning department at CU to develop, revise, and teach online classes. I witnessed firsthand the life-changing capacity of meaningful and memorable digital design. I was hooked.

Ever since, I have continued to grow my skills via certifications, networking, upskilling, and presenting at technology conferences. I never want to stop learning how to be the best eLearning developer I can be.

I'm especially passionate about accessibility, inclusivity, and Open Educational Resources (OER). Every person on this planet should feel welcomed, seen, and loved. Every person on this planet who wants to learn should be able to access diverse, life-enhancing educational experiences. I strive to make the world a little brighter through the human-centered, accessible learning experiences I design.

Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, hiking to waterfalls, studying moss, playing the violin, learning new board games, and traveling all over this big, beautiful world. I'm deeply committed to sustainability and doing my small part to make the world more hospitable, humane, and green.

Let's create meaningful learning experiences together!
